Bruch
Violin Concerto 1 in G minor, op.26

Bruch was so dissatisfied by this most memorable of great Romantic violin concertos that he withdrew his original version of this work in 1857.  However, after significant revision he re-issued the concerto with its familiar melodic strains and intricate violin work and it has gradually become amongst the most recognisable of Romantic themes.
